- The nose starts off very subdued, slightly fruity and spicy, some vegetable stock, light vanilla. A little tobacco will be added over time. The fruit aromas are very diffuse and difficult to grasp.
Very intense in the mouth without becoming too alcoholic, also sweet and fruity.
In the finish again rather diffuse-fruity with a little relatively fresh oak.
Overall, a beautiful, intense Highlander, which, however, is also a bit replaceable and a tad too young.
Probably a tullibardine.
- Very tasty and tasty red wine barrel storage
Red fruits, sweetness, a little vanilla, jelly fruits
Red fruits, light alcoholic spiciness, sweetness, very fruity, jelly fruits, very aroma-intensive, tasty
Sweet, slightly tart notes, becoming drier, oak, fruity
- This might be the first pleasant Tullibardine on wine casks that I've tasted. Especially the nose is quite remarkable, fresh, soapy, perfumy at first, but I really like it. Later on more 'normal' fruity notes.
Fruity, pretty fresh. Even a bit soapy, floral, like lavender soap. Smooth on alcohol for its high Abv. Perfume now as well, like standing before a Ici Paris shop.
After some time, more fresh red fruits take over, like strawberry, and a bit of vanilla.
Now the higher Abv makes his entrance, pretty powerful, but certainly not overwhelming. Fruity, some red fruits, strawberry. Later on it get more intense. Some orange as well.
Smoother now, and a lot of strawberry. Later on it gets stronger, with a little bitter note underneath, not disturbing though. Even some cigar tobacco, pretty long. A bit drying mouthfeel now. Some sweeter notes as well.
