    N&T from 02/08/2022 (http://classicdram.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=105228#p105228 )
Conclusions. A very delicate Glenmorangie. Very soft, even rather gentle, despite the age of 12 and a rather high strength. Well put together with a number of cool and unusual inclusions, while remaining very harmonious and pleasant at all stages of testing. Not too rich, of course, but done very well with a clear wine bias. Category 4+, in points 85.
    • Nose
Aroma: medium intensity. A dense aroma of dessert wine with a delicate alcoholic flair, an abundance of sweet fruits (ripe sultana, jumbo black raisins, juicy pear), citrus fruits, flower honey, shades of white chocolate, refreshing herb-based lollipops, muted resinous, perfumery and woody motifs. After a series of sips, it simplifies, sweet notes are relegated to the background. Decently saturated, embossed, delicate, well composed, but I can’t call it multi-layered and rich.
    • Taste
Palate: Energetic, soft, solidly loaded with a strong fruity influence and an abundance of sweetness. Alcohol is perfectly integrated. Black jumbo raisins, bright marmalade tones, honeydew honey, burnt sugar, some burnt cereals, dry tart-spicy medicinal herbs and roots, woody motifs, leather, slightly dry in the end, almost without bitterness, with slight traces of carpentry glue. The balance is excellent with a very well-chosen fortress. Nothing is stressful. In contrast, the aroma remains stable regardless of the number of sips.
    • Finish
Finish: between medium and long, slightly winey, sweet-spicy, pleasant woody motives, slightly bitter-tart and dry, traces of wood glue.

An interesting take on Glenmorangie with Malaga Dulce finish. In addition to the Original Ten, I am getting dominant sweet/sour green grape, overripe mango and papaya flavors. I appreciate the high ABV. A successful experiment in my opinion. Something for those with a "sweet tooth" and lovers of sweet white wines.

Very independent bottling with a nice drinking strength. For me, the highlight is on the palate. However, I find it very difficult to adjust to the very artificial smell.
    • Nose

Sweet and spicy nose with an artificial touch. Forest honey, colorful vending machine chewing gum, mango-flavored wine gum, dates, cinnamon, liquorice, lemon peel, leather polish, nougat cream, some oak seasoning.
    • Taste
      87 87
Powerful, sparkling start followed by a tropical cocktail. Slightly oily. Papaya, pineapple, mango, green apple rings, cocktail cherries, cinnamon, mulled wine spices, dried orange slices, dried apricots.
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium-long finish with dried apricots, ginger, manuka honey and caramel.

Smell: Sweet, red grapes, plums, followed by a little honey and subtle mint.
Taste: Intense sweet fruit aromas, raisins, sultanas and oranges. In addition to the sweetness, light spicy notes come through.
Finish: Medium long, slightly spicy oak spreads out.
Conclusion: sweet, fruity and without missing notes, bottled with optimal drinking strength but not very complex, simply a good drinking whisky!

Glenmorangie Málaga 12 Years Old was matured first in Bourbon barrels and then for four years in Dulce barrels, a rare wine barrel used in southern Spain. An experiment that was successful.
It is rounded off in barrels that once contained one of the rarest distilled wines in the world. Glenmorangie Málaga 12 Years Old is wonderfully sweet, with notes of honey and mild spices.
