As a result, much too expensive and not a pleasure.
The first nose doesn't really appeal to me - a lot of sweetness, a dry, spicy influence of sherry and a grassy note of wood. That's not inconsistent, but unfortunately I can't really do anything with it either. Works like a dry wine finish, as it is very wine-heavy overall.
Almost 49 percent push at the beginning. Youthful tingling with lots of sweetness and a dry wood note. Again, not particularly straightforward or harmonious.
80 euros for a whisky that offers me neither enjoyment nor excitement is clearly too much for this 8-year-old whisky.
I have no idea how they come up with such prices - neither the quality nor the production costs can justify it.
With a rum or a cognac, they finally manage to store the distillate in a barrel for 40 years and then sell it for the same money.
Short and a little too sharp. Again not a bit of enjoyment or harmony.
