- I enjoy this with beautiful people. Cit. Marilyn Manson.
- Wow. I'll start by saying to date, this is the best longrow I've had. It will be sure to put a smile on your face.
Exceptional longrow, and fortunate enough to have a 6cl sample, to have it multiple times.
Now I'm not one to get stuck into the hype of bottle tasting notes, but straight off, I feel like I'm walking through an orchard field full of red apples, and a grassy breeze is filling up my olfactory system. Wow, the peat has really dissipated here but replaced with a fruit syrup juicy fruit style of peat.
There is a citrus element of lemon drops, and that mineral distillate character we keep seeing appear from 90s distillate single casks.
Hints of dunnage goodness, hessian, hay bales. We're on a farm, which certainly feels like it, an orchard field next to a giant weatherboard shed, painted red, with a white roof, and trimmings.
Im in love with this nose
Wow, now we're in longrow territory, the peat on the palate is more pronounced, arrival is tempered down juicy fruits, then that mineral chalk profile, white pepper, a touch of bitters and nutmeg, ginger.
Lots of white pepper on the front of the palate, barrel spice, oak (but not overbearing), whilst the front of the palate remains spicy, the back of the mouth has this orchard fruit sweetness. The finish is medium, nearing to long, just not quite there.
- I liked this free without SS!!! Cit. GPP
- From Cadenhead: The one we're sure everyone is looking forward to trying- an exquisite older Longrow. A very complex whisky.
Red apples, coal dust, dunnage earth floors.
Campfire smoke, rock salt, plums and berries.
Soft toffee, marzipan, bramble jam and burnt toast.
