Oliver Chilton said they had a very sulphured cask of Clynelish and decided not to release it, instead blend it with others in order to save the cask.
So is the sulphur detectable? Not to me at least. It is a little dirty in the nose in a non sulphurous way. The nose is a little muddy, and shy, but I only had a sample. The palate explodes with wax. Creamy, honey, cigar, rum and dried berries. Very nice.
