    • Nose
      88 88
Dry wood meets vanilla, meets honey, meets lemon, meets smoke - a Kilchoman from an ex-bourbon barrel, a very clear thing. Very straight and clear, a nose that one could only wish for in a Kilchoman.
    • Taste
      88 88
Strong, but not too strong, it immediately lines the entire oral cavity with a very tasty mixture of subtle peat smoke, lemon peel, moist bark and malt. Vanilla, honey and milk chocolate join seamlessly, cinnamon and coriander complete the picture.
    • Finish
      87 87
Medium to long finish, chocolaty, smoky, lemon-fruity.

Actually a very good dram. No overwhelming smoke, but a nice mix of smoke and sweetness. Full of power, and very balanced.
    • Nose
Strong alcohol, but also immediately a lot of sweetness, vanilla, honey. Floral, and then some sweet smokiness sets in. Skai, fake leather. Ashy.
    • Taste
Pretty some power, but also some fresh sweet and floral notes. Again the smokiness takes a little longer to enter. Some caramel as well. Orange, honey. Gets more intense in time.
    • Finish
Still pretty powerful, sweet smoke, vanilla, floral. Pretty long. Later on even more intense. Caramel, orange.

Kilchoman bourbon single cask, so obviously lots of peat and vanilla. But also surprisingly sweet. Almond, citrus dark chocolate.
    And that's about it.
    It's good. Ofcourse.... It's a Kilchoman ;-)
But I find the single cask Kilchomans I've had so far, not the best they have to offer in that price range.
It misses the diversity of flavors of (for instance) the 100% Islay.
    Still worth the money though.
