Had this one blind. A very interesting dram. My guess in The end was initially Springbank due to The slight funkiness similar to The Springbank one. The funkiness was probably The wine Cask, if anything. Quickly shifted to islay and PC / Bruichladdich though. Guessed 15 yo and 53-55%.

Complex and full boddy still dirty oily, fresh mint like and funky.

Astonishing fruity nose, great combination of smoke and wine in the taste. This was my highlight of 2020.

  5. Brann scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Barn and smoke with mint and leather
    Some salt and ash
Lots of smoke and tannins at the end

I find this rather one-dimentional and to ashy.

    Ash bomb of 86 points

  6. SAND scored this whisky 91 points Expert Senior

NOSE: Very vinous (sherried) and fat bacon-like smoke. Sugared overbrewed black tea. Rather Longrow like. Keeps developing. Tropical yeast (Hornindal Kveik), wintergreen, gerbera daisies. (92-93p).
TASTE: Ashy, rich. Mouth coating juicy green plant like fruitiness (if that makes sense). (91p).
FINISH: Sooty, fat, slight pepperiness. Medium length. (88p)
OVERALL: One of a kind. Total score 91 points.

Wonderful taste, fruity aroma with a smoky aftertaste. Sensational with a cigar! Great value for money. One of the best ballechins I've tried.
