Whisky Reviews for Ballechin 2004 SV
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 91.04 points
- Wonderful taste, fruity aroma with a smoky aftertaste. Sensational with a cigar! Great value for money. One of the best ballechins I've tried.
- Had this one blind. A very interesting dram. My guess in The end was initially Springbank due to The slight funkiness similar to The Springbank one. The funkiness was probably The wine Cask, if anything. Quickly shifted to islay and PC / Bruichladdich though. Guessed 15 yo and 53-55%.
peat sherry, rubber, some burnt notes, cherries, some funkiness almost cardamom, mint, herbs, furniture polish, hints of raisins. Citrus
berries, cherries in particular, lacrisal, minty, ashy, oranges, cinnamon, cooling mint
Ashy, spearmint, dry, ash, liquerice, bonfire, cherry funk, burnt rubber, soft spices, ashtray, a fraction of soap.
