    Notes by producer:

Distilled in 2005 and matured for more than 15 years in ex-bourbon barrels, our eleventh bottling of Laphroaig is full of barbecued and spicy medicinal notes, balanced by orchard fruits and a subtle sweetness. Only 496 bottles produced.

    Tasting Notes:

    Nose
Tamarind, dates and molasses. Sausages sizzling in the frying pan. Coal smoke with classic medicinal notes – carbolic soap and bandages.

    Palate
Barbecued coastal notes married with Cox apples, celeriac and chilli spice. Salty maritime brine and homemade tomato sauce on a juicy burger straight from the grill.

    Finish
Charcoal, charred toast from a farmer’s loaf and stewed orchard fruits.

recognizable combination of bright notes of melon and rubber that was set on fire.

Smoky, rich, industrial and medical aromas are replaced by yellow melon, pear and apple. Lollipop.
    • Taste

The taste is very fanciful at first, after it becomes sweet, but the smoke returns again.

The aroma is bright. Iodine, minerality, rubber band.
We stood and breathed ... Vanilla, citrus fruits, spices, asterisk ointment, ammonia, ammonia, an extinct fire.
The taste is bright, sweet with bitterness. Peat history, vanilla, citrus zest, spices, burnt meat.
The finish is long and sweet. Vanilla, spices, apricot pits, barrel, smoky peaty trail.

Conclusion: On the one hand, a bright aroma and taste, a long finish, on the other hand, it is rather one-sided and boring, peat and its derivatives.
Not clinging, but I think maniacs will like peat.
