Distilled in March 2015 and bottled in August 2020. The raw material for our Elbe-Valley Whisky - Saline - is a barley malt mixture, not peated. It was stored for 4 years in a 220 liter wine barrel, the Pinot Noir variety from the winemaker Manuel Wild, here in Jork. For another year, the barrel then moved to the saltworks of the Soltau salt boiler and received its special finish there.
Smell: Fruity and sweet, spicy.
Taste: plum, cinnamon, oak, light salty liquorice.
Finish: Medium-long and oily, with dark chocolate on the tongue.
