Whisky Reviews for Bunnahabhain 30-year-old

- Delicious, but too well designed.
Seaweed, herbs and a hint of plums. After a while, a pleasant mint freshness wafts around my nose
Very balanced and complex. Pleasant notes of sherry, very well integrated
Overall, a delicious drop but not with the highest recognition value. A whole bottle would be too expensive for me in proportion - even if it is good, no question about it
- The nose is outstanding! Unfortunately the rest is not on par with the sniffing, although still excellent palate and ok’ish finish for such a heavyweight... all in all I enjoyed it very much.
- A very tasty old standard with a wonderful nose which is the best thing about this malt. He wants to be cheated for a long time. On the palate it is also very good and intense, but it breaks down in the finish. It is a bit disappointing, but still an excellent malt.
Very nice sherry notes, lots of dried fruits, plums, raisins, a bit old furniture, slightly spicy, later citrus fruits, oak notes, you have to search for the typical Bunna smoke and you only find it to a limited extent. Much later comes the maritime notes, herbs, farmhouse bread
Notes of old oak, dried fruits, plums, spicy, old furniture, very intense, very easily pepper comes for a short time, later becomes slightly bitter and leathery, very slightly oily, very pleasant mouthfeel. At the end there are light maritime notes combined with light citrus fruitiness
intensely spicy finish with notes of sherry and citrus, long-lasting, maritime and slightly salty, somewhat bitter, leather and becoming dry at the end.
