Great nose, unfortunately can't catch up afterwards - overall pretty good
    • Nose
      92 92
Very fruity, apricots, peaches, apples, plums, also some tropical fruits, mango, passion fruit, spices, fine oak wood, overipe fruits, whiffs of solvent - very good!
    • Taste
      90 90
Punchy, very oily, creamy, thick, subtle sweetness, a bit less fruity than on the nose, the oaky is a bit louder, bananas, toasted bread, even some dry hay - still good
    • Finish
      88 88
Long, warm, zesty, more tannins, a little bit drying, herbal, a tad bitter

Once was this Douglas Laing bottling that took my interest for those Tomatins and this one I can really recommend buying instead of getting bankrupt by spending all the money for sixties bowmores.. ;-)
    • Nose
Very nice nose with many exotic fruits and an oaky background.
    • Taste
I could taste three different expressions of Tomatins distilled in 76 and this one is the most round bodied of them all. Just beautiful how the exotic fruits capture the taste buds.
    • Finish
The lively but sadly short fruity moment before the oak takes the lead is just splendid.
