Smell: peat, a raw edge (stole?), Something fruity gum-like that I also always smell / taste in Lagavulin, smoked meat, spicy, sherry influences.

Taste: a nice mouth full of smoke, peppery, also that chewy, spicy (curry), licorice / salmiak.

Finish: definitely dribbling further away, with that one-bit-strange-but-sure-well-tasty spicy, also something like salmiak / licorice.

A really own malt that fits very well in the cold season.
    • Nose
Sulfur bound in smoke falls directly on. There's coal and some glue ... vlt charcoal. Smells like a Christmas smoker or like a Wenik wood sauna.
    • Taste
Strong! The smoke, the fruit and the herbs are just good together ... totally reminiscent of Klosterfrau Melissengeist. Some bacon and some licorice are also included
    • Finish
Charcoal and smoke, full-bodied and very long-lasting

A Swiss whisky aged in old barrels of beer! On the nose, a very unusual smoke, unique in its kind, like incense, with a good dose of clove and lemon. Red fruits are revealed later (but where do they come from?) On the palate, flamboyant, intense, also pungent with ashes and red fruits. Well spiced, with a hint of sulfur also sembme-it. Final short by cons. Enthusiasm 4/5

I like a smoked ham note in smoky whiskys and this one has a lot of it. More than anything else I've had. That makes him unique, even inspiring. Purists would probably deny him a "typical" whisky taste, but still he has everything a whisky needs. Complex enough not to be boring, strong enough to challenge your tongue without overstraining it, and sweet enough to go through as pleasurable. However, I fear that at the latest after the second or third dram of the evening of the, everything would cry for a change, because he pushes himself forcibly in the foreground and then at some point would probably be "too much".
    • Nose
Hui, he is different. Massively smoked ham, campfire, salt ,. After the first smoke has subsided, vanilla and cinnamon appear. The alcohol works only after some time cooling to the surface. Then savory and a sour note like vinegar in the lentil stew.
    • Taste
Smoke, ash, citrus, sweet, bean stew with smoked sausage. The alcohol comes slowly now, then with power.
    • Finish
The finish is again smoky-bacon, neat long, powerful and sweet

I am very sorry, dear Säntis friends, but he is not!
I like the Himmelberg, the liqueurs are also a poem!
    (try the Apricot!)
I was only allowed to try it recently, after I started an experiment about 4 years ago at a trade fair.
This very special smoke is more than getting used to, and I like smoky whisky.
With nothing to compare, I'm also hard to describe the taste. Admittedly, in the nose very pleasant it reminds me of a walk on a winter evening in a snowy village, when the smoke from the chimneys and a pleasant smell in the air. But in the mouth only ...

Well, mine is not him. Will not he either.

Do not worry, I do not want to add a new version of the well-known ingredients (further smoldering campfire, burnt caramel, cough syrup, Metwurst). On the other hand, I can still defend my grading given a few years ago today - after tasting it again - with a clear conscience: Of course one can not and may not like this special taste. But this drop was quite pioneering at that time in Switzerland and elsewhere for the German-speaking countries, as not every schnapps distiller had to have any whisky - often too young and too expensive thrown on the market - in the assortment. This "Trinity" was innovative, with an interesting Fassreifung. And can still be assessed as unique, exciting and really rounded today.
