    Color: magnificent gold, golden reflections.

Nose: a well integrated alcohol, wax, nutmeg, fruit, at first glance, it looks like pear.
Then gradually, it becomes exotic fruit, a little watermelon.
After a little ventilation, we have a little almond, white chocolate.
    It is a superb nose.

Palate: OMG! Sublime, in the continuity of the nose, fruit at will, not overwhelmed by pepper, it s brilliant!

Final: medium on exotic fruit, a melon marmalade ....

Comment: very happy to have a bottle aside.

Note on sample open for several weeks. I do not remember an extraordinary whisky during the first tasting so I will stay with this impression, flawless but without panache.
    • Nose
      Butter, some white fruits
    • Taste
Good acidity in the attack but it does not match the nose, it is surprisingly flat.
We find all the ingredients of an old Hogshead but without a backstory.
    • Finish
      Medium to long

    Tasted in the blind
I think it's quite young, Irish type (I get a bit of the feel of Waterford).
I really like the dried herbs and hay side, but not a fan overall. I would say an Irish type powers, around 40-43 °.
Oupss ... Well at this price it's really not good! ;-)
    • Nose
      87 87
vegetal, even "green", slightly fruity on the apple and then on the herbs. It looks like an unsweetened chartreuse or a gentian.
    • Taste
      85 85
slightly acrid, then the fruitiness of the nose and a hay side in the second part. Alcohol not very present, it is quite flat, aqueous limit (reduction too important?)
    • Finish
      85 85
      Unsurprisingly, short.
