Smell: The 48-degree wine is full-bodied and vigorous. The aromas of wood juice, match head, ebony, tobacco, and old leather are clear and prominent. The middle section is made of herbs and spices. It quickly enters the end section. The fresh peach wood, pure Natural dark jam, and at the end, the powdery breath is captured. This Shirley wind is as clean as it is in a concert hall, without any noise, the aromas are close together, and the rhythm is clear and smooth.

Drink: It has a soft taste and some tannins, without any burning sensation. After the entrance, it releases a lot of rich wood juice and tobacco juice. The main theme of the end rhyme is the candied fruit chocolate, and the super long end rhyme seems to never stop. Come down.

Feeling: smelling fragrance is much higher than drinking, smelling the fragrance can clearly capture more than ten kinds of fragrance, the rhythm is orderly, the beginning and the turn are combined in one mirror to the end, you can nominate the best editing award, but more The dull taste and monotonous taste make the drinking process lack some three-dimensionality, and the long tail rhyme will never be the main reason for a wine to win a high score under the premise of 25 years of wine age.

ps: This is an old note

Smell the fragrance: It takes a while to wake up to experience its beauty. Sweet sauce, tobacco, cocoa powder, black chocolate and fermented rice. There are some gum-like flavors, cherry sauce, candied dates, and cinnamon. 89/100
Taste: caramel, brownie, cocoa beans, shredded tobacco, full-bodied roast, cherries, herbs, clay, hand-pushed, creamy chocolate. 90/100
Ending rhyme: long, chocolate mousse, tobacco, interesting, ripe dark berries. 90/100
Body: Gelatinous, creamy, robust and full body. 90/100
Overall: 90/100, a very good sherry barrel whisky, deep, complex and long aftertaste.

A malt that you don't have in your glass every day, if only because of the price. For me also very independent and not just a 21-year-old of an older age.
    • Nose
      91 91
Full complexity with ripe, dark fruits such as black cherry, plaume, dates; dark caramel, dark chocolate, tobacco, leather.
    • Taste
      90 90
Very full and complex on the tongue; the fruit notes are dominated after a certain time by the oak, nuts and chocolate. Very oily and heavy.
    • Finish
      89 89
In the finish, for me, the chocolate clearly dominates alongside the tobacco and leather notes.

Good whisky with noble tones, balanced and pleasant. It would probably be great to always keep a bottle of such a whisky open, if not for the shocking price
    • Nose
      90 90
Raisins, prunes and nuts, dark chocolate, and somewhere in the background there is a pickle from sauerkraut, unusual, but does not spoil at all
    • Taste
      89 89
tangerine zest, walnuts, spices and old dry sherry
    • Finish
      88 88
citruses with spices in sherry, viscous figs, sprinkled with a pinch of salt, medium duration

One of the best Glengoyne 25 batches I've tasted.
