If you like candy and fruit-flavored bubblegum, look no further. Very fun on the nose, and certainly worth a try (or a dram, or a 5 cl sample), but I wouldn't want to be stuck with a whole bottle of this stuff.

Über-fruity and sweet, with green apple, watermelon, peach, bubblegum, cotton candy, and honey. Also an elegant and somewhat evanescent fragrant oak spice that reminds me of sandalwood and exotic spices like curry and curcuma. Certainly not shy. Actually, the intensity on the nose is a bit too much for me: the aromas kind of bum-rush and overwhelm the senses instead of letting themselves get picked up slowly and gradually. Still, it's a fun experience, as long as you're looking for an in-your-face kind of approach rather than deep complexity.

Fruity and sweet on the palate as well, with a considerable push from the high ABV. Spicy and strong. A lot more simple here than on the nose, though, and at times you notice that the alcohol is not ideally integrated. The sandalwood note is present here as well, but it's less multifaceted than the aroma had me hope for.

The fruits linger nicely, but the oak cannot assert itself against the (probably still pretty young) spirit. A bit boozy.

    Tasting from a blind sample:

Finding after dissolution: The surprisingly high alcohol content of 55.0% is really well integrated. Hardly noticeable in the nose, on the palate I thought that there was probably a little more oomph behind it. But I wouldn't have guessed that much. Nice!

Quite light and a bit floral at first. Then light fresh fruit, some spicy wood, some caramel and a hint of fruity tobacco follow. In addition, tangy citrus fruits and sweet herbs. Sometimes a hint of vanilla / vanilla cream appears.

Nice mixture of fresh and at the same time bitter flavors.
    • Taste
      85 85
Pleasantly tart, somewhat dry chocolate, spicy wood, sweet herbal notes, tangy fresh citrus fruits, tart-sweet lemonade, a bit musty. In addition, very delicately charred or roasted notes.

Also this nice mixture of bitter and fresh notes, whereby the tendency to the bitter side is more evident here.
    • Finish
      84 84
Very pleasant, delicately spicy and tart, very delicate subliminal bitterness.

Notes of moist, spicy wood and green apple peel remain.
