- i'm not really picking up that sherry cask i've tasted this "blind" with just the name on the label so i didn't know what cask this was
for me this whisky is to sweet
if i had to quess what cask this was i would go for second fill bourbon or second fill bourbon with a rum finish
not my cup of tea
short bread, cookie dough , fresh vanilla sticks and apricot jam , stewed apple and sweet pears , some eucalyptus and sourdough after a while (one hour ) it gets a lot more of that sherry cask influence i get blackcurrant and leather and a hint of Sulphur
sweet and sticky mouth feel , lots of tropical fruit , lychee and pineapple are the dominant flavors followed by yellow kiwi , pear , apple and white grape ,
short to medium finish , sweet honey like texture with the same tropical fruit flavor profile , at the end there is a hint of Sulphur
Salty cheesy sulphur. Leather, blackberry and caramel.
Lots of leather. Salted caramel, kaki, blackberry and blood orange. Now it really works.
Salted caramel, blackberry and lemon.
