    strong, chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, strawberries

Chocolate, rum-grape-nuts, spicy oak, malty, notes of sherry, some alcohol spiciness, youthful notes

    Just about medium length, young

I live near the lake, went shopping for vegetables and this one smiled at me.

Nose, soft and intense, sweet, but also a cheesy note, fruity, something bitter, something like biting on grapes, alcohol very well integrated, the 42% is almost a little weak on the chest when you smell it further.
Red apple with red grapes, harmonious in itself, but always accompanied by this bitter note and this strange cheese note. Amazingly delicate vanilla

In the mouth, the nose is essentially reproduced 1: 1, with the difference that the mouth is initially extremely mild compared to the nose.
Here, too, the 42% is quite appropriate, but here, too, it sometimes seems a bit lacking.
Unfortunately, there is also a note here that seems unusual to me and seems a bit unfavorable.
The note known from the nose that reminds me of grape seeds. I once had a grappa ????‍♂️
Add this cheese note, is that enough? Because I miss barrel aromas, after 6 years you should feel something. So cream cheese. The other fruity notes are nice, the honey becomes a little bit spicier, the mouth is overall less sweet than the nose.

Short to medium, moderately pleasant because unfortunately only the grape seed and cheese note, possibly apple peel and minimal sweetness remain.

Well what can I say. I have to say, overall it tastes better than expected, because I didn't expect much after trying other German whisky.
I often find this strange cheese note in them, ask me why, I haven't had it in any Schotten or theirs before, and I had everything from New Make to 30 yo.
With all due respect, I wonder how you can call it a whisky, for me it's a fruit schnapps that was allowed to mature for 6 years.
And that shouldn't make the product bad, because the brand itself is very high quality, no metal or other youthful features, nice fruity notes, very soft, that's a high quality product, no question.
But whisky ?! So I don't know sorry.
Maybe I have to free myself to compare the Scots and yours.

    But ;
So far one of the best German whisky product I've had, the grape notes are sometimes really dark and fruity, that's really cool.
I originally got 68/69 points, but I give extra points for the relatively fair price, the presentation / equipment (nice bottle, nice cork), a correct age statement, very nice.
    72 points ✌

    official product information:

The single malt whisky first matures calmly in red wine wooden barrels. Then it is transferred to selected American bourbon wooden barrels. After the final storage in the sherry barrel - after years of ripening - the alcohol content is adjusted with drinking water from the Lake Constance region. A full-bodied enjoyment of pleasantly smoky peatiness with a fruity finish.

    ~ Contents: 0.35 liters
    ~ Alcohol content: 42% vol.
~ Special features: barley from our own cultivation. Setting with Lake Constance water. First whisky from Lake Constance in Baden
    ~ Color: golden amber.
~ Scent: vanilla, heather honey and cocoa powder
~ Aroma: Full-bodied with a delicate smoky note, yellow roses, ripe plums.
~ Taste: Cheeky and piquant, slight sweetness like heather honey, trace of malt and peat, fruity finish.
~ Finish: “A fresh, delicate, slightly peaty aroma with a gentle, fruity taste; the elements are well integrated ”.
~ Remarks: This whisky is a real surprise bag: golden amber colors, beautiful full body, with a round fruitiness and a proportion of smoky peatiness. Oak-toned bourbon vanilla notes with plums and heart cherries on the way. Rich and soft, tasty, with an oily oak / barley malt character; Fresh, pure and crispy in the aftertaste with smokiness in the background. Not everything can be described on paper, but one thing remains: the inner balance, aromatic depth and structural transparency. The whisky seems to float through the palate. The reverberation is intoxicatingly long.
    ~ Distiller: Herbert Senft
    ~ Brandy sommelier: Silke Senft
    ~ Origin: Germany
    ~ Region: Badischer Bodensee
~ Allergens and intolerance substances: Made from barley, cereals containing gluten.
