The nose is subpar, the palate is perfectly fine. All in all pretty solid stuff, especially at its price point.
    • Nose
Extremely shy. A very soft note of tinned pineapple, some more expressive aroma of breakfast cereal, and finally a whisper of lemon peel. Whiff of formaldehyde.
    • Taste
Proper, oily mouthfeel and some of that pot still spice, accompanied by dried red fruit and honey. Slightly herbal too. Not bad, not bad at all.
    • Finish
Lingering spices, before becoming lighter, greener and grassier.

It's only good to know. Maybe good to mixing.

Good Irish blend (you shouldn't expect too much) with excellent PLV, better than those enjoyed so far (Paddy, Tullamore and Teeling Small batch / Rumfinish) and also considerably better than Famous Grouse from Scotland.
Good experience, I largely share the more positive tasting notes, but not a must have, but quite good and easy to drink, e.g. also in long drinks, Irish coffee, etc.

Sweetness, spice and oak with vanilla.
    • Taste
      78 78
Surprisingly powerful, but also sweet, spicy oak and with citrus flavors. It is pleasantly creamy and oily in the mouth, salivation is stimulated.
    • Finish
      72 72
almost medium length, becoming drier at the end, not very expressive

Nose: Coconut and vanilla, very gentle but clear, already creamy in the aroma

Taste: very powerful start for its 40%, sweet vanilla with citrus zest, possibly of oak tannins. Very creamy

Finish: not so short, slight pungency gives way to the delicious creamy vanilla notes, some tannins but not bitter. The slightly dry mouthfeel, which remains in the mouth at the end, remains really long in the mouth.

Comment: Hard to believe it's so cheap. A really solid blend, the z. B. beats a 12-year Glenfiddich by lengths. Really beautifull!

A superb Irish for everyday drinking. I love this, though not quite as much as the 1780.
    • Nose
Very aromatic. Waxy orange skins. Linseed oil. Leather.
    • Taste
      Big, oily, creamy, sociable.
    • Finish
      Delicate. Peppery. More-ish.

My first *real* whiskey - bought in Cork, Ireland, during a visit of the Jameson distillery a few years ago. After that, I tried the Scotch single malts. I still like the Jameson, but I prefer the products from Scotland. Sorry, dear Irish friends

The first Irish whiskey i ever tasted and i was a long tome a go. Still one of the best. The tour of the distillery was first class
    • Nose
Hay like with malt extract and yeast
    • Taste
Very smooth with hints of honey and new wood
    • Finish
A light finish and a wonderful one

Of course, this drop does not have the huge bite of many single malts. But if you put the ratings of this whiskey (for example, JM 95 points!) In proportion to its price, you'll get a barely beatable score by most other whiskers in the world.
    • Nose
A not too strong billowing wave of fragrance, reminiscent of a pleasing fruit basket and a spicy herb and flower meadow. Even the basic taste of whiskey penetrates gently.
    • Taste
Pleasant wind in a sea of aromatic herbs and flowers, accompanied by fine vanilla.
    • Finish
Balanced velvety / silky finish from the taste buds of the key, slowly dwindling away in the infinity ...
