Another one of these mysterious Images by Malts of Scotlands. Almost all of them have been very much to my liking.

This could very well be a Ben Nevis. Geographically and from the distillery character.

    Color: Bright Yellow
    • Nose
      85 85
Very fresh nose. Fresh cut grass, limes, vanilla, green apples, but also mineralic, and in the background salt.

The nose is very interesting but you also get the feeling this is definitely not the oldest whisky.
    • Taste
      87 87
Vanilla, pineapples, citric, grassy, oaky, quite salty.
    • Finish
      87 87
Very smooth and medium long, again vanilla and a light oak note dominate, these are followed by citrus fruits, ripe apricots, pineapples, followed by white pepper, minerals and salt.

      Very good :)

Could well be Ben Nevis geographically and according to its taste.

  3. YosemiteSam scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

A good whisky with a high alcohol percentage, but very young.
    • Nose
      84 84
Youthful whisky, vanilla, honey, green apples, lime and grass. I don't like the smell of grass in whisky.
    • Taste
      85 85
Vanilla, honey, grass, oak, lemon. Salty?
    • Finish
      85 85
Medium aftertaste, vanilla, citrus, pineapple, pepper and oak in the background.

Give it some time, and this whisky will grow on you, at least it did to me. Getting more and more versatile and better in time. A variety of fruits, on a quite powerful base. Very pleasant dram.
    • Nose
      88 88
Very fruity and intense, quite some alcohol, orange, vegetal, lemon. Some floral notes as well. Some mineral notes as well. Alcohol gets stronger and stronger in time.
    • Taste
      88 88
Very powerful and intense, vegetal notes initially. Creamy, buttery, white chocolate, citrus. Later on more smooth and quite, more tropical fruits as well, and orange. Some floral and sweet notes as well.
    • Finish
      87 87
More smooth now, orange, peach, a lot of fruits. Pretty long finish.

Great, fruity bourbon matured whisky, unfortunately with far too much heat, but otherwise a great affair
    • Nose
      87 87
Fresh green apples, lots of Williams pear
    • Taste
      84 84
Nice fruity sweetness of green fruits, ginger-like sharpness
    • Finish
      81 81
Strongly vanilla, but unfortunately the spiciness remains, but the finish is quite long

  11. Mascht scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

a great, youthful malt, has the typical Ben Nevis character
    • Nose
      88 88
intense, malty and light-fruity, of bread crust, fresh apples, marzipan and vanilla
    • Taste
      89 89
Mouth filling and astringent and at the same time slightly bitter, dominated by grapefruit, apricot jam and vanilla pudding
    • Finish
      87 87
Long, sweet, memories of orange jam and vanilla cream remain
