Here we go! Best scotch of the year 2020 from Whisky Bible(sponsered by Glen Grant Distillery I guess:) )
This is an enjoyable dram, but before you try this, I suggest that adjust your expectation a little bit. This has a typical Glen Grant style, young bourbon cask goes in major. Don't be expecting this one to blow your mind, my humble opinion, this is just a good bourbon cask whisky in general.

    • Nose

Fresh and fruity it penetrates the nose, I smell oranges, pears and lemons and in the background a subtle herbal note. However, there is also a light, tangy alcohol note. It smells younger than it is, and there is also a note of iodine.
After 10 minutes it smells sweet and the fruits turn towards orange peel / lemon peel. Like studs
    • Taste
      83 83
Strong start full of citrus fruit, a light peppery note and the taste I would probably want to drink in summer
    • Finish
      82 82
Light and fresh, at most medium-long. A slight bitter note remains (lemon zest).
For me as a sherry fan and in winter okay but not intoxicating

with water: it gets a little lighter, more orange oil, I would rather leave out the water

Conclusion: it needs a little time in the glass, then you get a nice Bourbon Speysider, although the spice in the nose is a bit too strong for me, but it knows how to show strength in the taste and finish
    • Nose
      83 83
Leathery-spicy pear, spices (cloves, nutmeg), slightly earthy, oranges, lots of vanilla, some woody pineapple, canned mandarins, slightly creamy, alcohol is well integrated
    • Taste
      85 85
creamy, subtle sweetness, pear, vanilla the spice / leather note is not so strong here, very tasty
    • Finish
      84 84
long, pleasant, vanilla, almonds / marzipan, subtle acacia honey sweetness and subtle bitter substances

Nose: Chalky, ashy, fruity sweet and a bit of nutty char.

Palate: Fruity, mildly smoky and oily, ashy and nutty.

Finish: Long -> Sooty smoke and oil.
