I like the Bookers. Nice mixture of spice and typical vanilla notes, with the spice predominating somewhat. Despite the high alcohol content, you can also drink it straight.

Old lacquered furniture with chocolate cookies, nail polish, black pepper and orange zest.

The best of the bourbons I tested. 85 he dared him boldly. Drank clean, no water added
    • Nose
The whole polytra of the paint and varnish shop in which the elephant climbed: lacquer, acetone, paint, sweet corn, sugar syrup, skips honey-flower component. There are insignificant vkrasiny vanilla and cinnamon.
    • Taste
Burning, the degree is certainly felt, viscous, thick, board, oak, sweetness is quite moderate.
    • Finish
Pleuvkusie average duration, pleasant warming, varnish, polish, corn.

classic bourbon: vanilla, caramel, cherry. Still light dust in the nose, very intense in the mouth. Some orange peel in the finish.

This baby is probably as soft as a 63,7 % abv. can be. The alcohol does overpower without added water. A great nose, but doesn't quite deliver after. Distracting synthetic elements.
    • Nose
The oozing alcohol shows its power mostly outside of the aromatic palette. It's somehow integrated with the other aromas, giving a synthetic feel. Lacquer or nail polish, maybe. Added water amplifies hints of vanilla. Some fresh aroma, I cannot define. Honey. A complex nose!
    • Taste
A shallow frame, even more with water. Less complex palate compared to the nose. Peppery. Which doesn't blend well with the abv.. Citrus combined with some honey. The actual bourbon is almost in the background.
    • Finish
      Pepper, citrus, vanilla. Burning alcohol.

Good value and delicious bourbon from Jim Beam
    • Nose
      84 84
Dark chocolate, banana in syrup, melted caramel, baked fruit and prunes in the sun.
    • Taste
      85 85
The taste is surprisingly moderately sharp with such a degree. It's just some kind of biscuit, licorice, a lot of spices, banana mousse, dry wood, there is no varnish at all, which is felt in cheap bourbons. A holiday of some kind. It's hard to describe, but bourbon is literally chewed, very stringy, by the way, there is less coffee and cocoa than in baker's, but more chocolate and fresh pastries, cream and biscuit, the density is off scale.
    • Finish
      86 86
The finish is simply endless, you can go to bed and dream about the drink prunes, oak notes, caramel and white pepper at the very end, warming.

Nice one, with water it reminded me of Wild Turkey Rare Breed but with more oak presents
    • Nose
Firstly toasted peanuts, under that a lot of rich caramel.
With 2 drops of water: oak become more present
    • Taste
Hot, oaky mix of dark chocolate and brown sugar, slight acetone ending.
With 2 drops of water: more caramel and wood
    • Finish
Short, very slight bitterness, long warmness
