Is that age good enough? Can not be! Barrel magic or some other trick?
Fine whisky, but young and youthful, with its noisyness, pressure, its spree and dashing carelessness, drowns out other, subtle, but modest tones that one would like to enjoy in silence.
In a diluted form, this release would have looked, perhaps, more interesting!
Such a gorgeous Barrel could serve as the finish line for something older!

Bright tones of dark, caramelized malt, the cover of a waxed book with pictures and expensive printing, grape motifs of pulp and a damp wine cellar with dusty barrels, the smell of an old restaurant and the green cloth of a casino, glycerin and where without vanilla!
Skinny, oily and full-bodied, very fresh, young and, unfortunately, still unripe, a lot of tannin grape astringency and wine dryness, sweetness 6.5 out of 10, blackberries, chocolate, coffee, prunes, ginger, figs, dates (but all this fruit and berry is strongly suppressed by prickly youth, as is often the case with youths).
Dry, powerful, energetic, balanced, full of oak and grape seed tannins.
Knits! ..and I get bogged down deeply and for a long time, if you don't take a second sip!
