Grapefruit spritz and possible other citrus fruits and their phloem, some light grass and hay, and roasted peanuts and their shells. It's a solid, serviceable, whisky.

It is better than its predecessor in the blue tin can that was available in many supermarkets. The sweetness is very pleasant and can be clearly emphasized. Even the grain off-note that is so typical of Loch Lomond does not overlap so much and is within tolerable limits. By and large a positive development - 11/13/2021

First thought goes in the direction of muesli, oat flakes, I even think of a Corny bar, malt, grain, pumpernickel, sour-pungent fruit notes, apple, burnt gum, old gum, window seal, damp cardboard, avocado, apricot, nutty- sweet, almonds

Malty, grain, slightly spicy alcohol, light fruits, creamy, nougat, chocolate, white coffee, fruit candy, honey to finish off

Loch Lomond Original Single Malt, 40% alc. Original bottling. Expansion: American oak barrels

Nose: heather and vanilla, also malt, a somewhat artificial sweetness imposes itself, fresh summer apples and citrus fruits, slightly flowery. In the background there is a hint of an eraser.

Palate: Light and a little creamy, almost creamy. Malt, brown sugar, caramel candy and vanilla fudge.

Finish: Short and still creamy, some maple syrup and a very mild hint of pepper.

Conclusion: My previous experiences with such a young Loch Lomond are not so good now, so this bottling really surprised me in a positive way. A filling for beginners, creamy soft, pleasantly sweet, wonderfully easy to enjoy. 81/100 points (2021).
