The taste is sweet with light fruits like peach and orange. Mainly the bourbon barrel comes through and calvados can only be guessed at. You wouldn't think of it if you didn't know.
Only with the second sip does the complexity arise. But still he remains quite cautious. You can tell that you are 23 years old. It's not a young whiskey, but it's not a classic old whiskey as one might suggest.
The finish is quite long and stays sweet. That's where most of the calvados come through for me.
It's a nice whiskey.
Price performance with an issue price of just under € 140 is no longer quite as good, but if you consider the 23 years it is still okay.
I only had one sample and it stays that way.
