hs305 gave this whisky 90 points

[December, 2012]  I had this dram during an "Old CC" tasting at Bonn.

In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 90.  My notes state a nice fruity profile on apricots.

Dram Dracula gave this whisky 93 points

My score is for a 50ml mini of Benriach 1969 without an age statement. Similar brown label. 40%. It was stupendous. I don't simply give any whisky a 93 pt but this one deserves it. The best 40% whisky I've ever had. Thick and extremely fruity, and without that metallic, cardboardy, flat finish that a lot of these older brown labels have.
