The whisky matured primarily in barrels that were previously filled with berry wine from the winemaker Grythyttan Vin.
The saturation of the barrels by the Swedish craft business has left a clear trace of blueberry and cranberry aroma.
The core of the whisky is our elegant recipe, aged in barrels made from Swedish and American oak, which have been combined with a handful of barrels from our smoky recipe for extra depth.
Nose: Spicy with warm, fruity notes of grapes and a hint of herbs. Soft vanilla oak with aromas of anise, ginger, raisins and pear caramel.
Taste: Gently fruity, but also spicy with a clear hint of berries and dried fruits. Pear, raisins, ginger and vanilla. The texture is creamy and of medium strength.
Finish: Berries and fruits join with spicy oak aromas with a warm hint of raisins.
