Pleasant nose, uninteresting palate, comes apart in the finish. Do we expect anything different? The state of Aberfeldy is just depressing, because you can just sense that it could be so much more than what it is. Wine finishes, amirite?

Soft, orange, floral, and that signature honey note that belies so much potential from this distillery. Very friendly nose, though something metallic pops up now and then. Vanilla and a lot of brown sugar with blackberries and strawberries as well. Starting off good!

Hmm, a bit disappointing. Not as lovely as the nose. Initially sweet and a very nice mouth feel. But quickly sharp, astringent, and sour. Lemon if I’m being charitable. Some raisins.

No no no. This is hot. This is hot spirit. Maybe some honey, maybe musty, but just hot. Can’t do it. No thanks.

In addition to the three detailed evaluations, the price, if necessary coloring, if necessary cooling filtration and overall impression are also included in the evaluation. I have 10 categories with a maximum of 10 points each, arithmetically this is 71/100.

It is quite fruity, smooth in my opinion and pleasant to the palate.

As for me, it is one of the top fruit single malts. Lots of fruits, no bitterness and a lot of dark chocolate, makes it a real "TOP"
The longer it stays and breathes in the glass, the more perfect and noble the whisky becomes.
Great item ... I save it to my "shopping" notebook under the name .... "must be purchased"

    surprisingly interesting.

thanks to the blindsample I gave this one a chance. I would have never bought the whisky or a sample otherwise.
