Akashi Cask 61191 5 years old. 3 years ex Hogshead and 2 years in ex cask of white wine.

Nose, empty at the first meeting.
    A little concentration and breathing.
Well, it's quite empty. Ethanol, New make? It's white, barley brandy.
    Blond beer.
Burnt. Not smoked, well burnt, rubber or tar, maybe a mixture of the two.
And then ? And then nothing!
A drop of water, anyway ....
    Less alcohol, a pear? Distant.

    Mouth.
Firecracker is 63% !!, grilled malt and lager beer, a distant pan-fried bread which again brings back the tar and burnt rubber.
Alcohol rises and takes everything in its path, ethanol.
And then ? And then nothing!
The water does not bring him anything, only calms his alcoholic madness and brings out the malt quickly.

    Final.
Worthy of the nose and the mouth, short, even evasive, bitter, vegetal.

Good .... Liquor Hasegawa do not know how to choose the barrels at Akashi? Or bumps into it? Is the goal only to bottle?
Does the consumer's opinion matter little to him? maybe, is it just a loss leader?

An empty whisky, empty of meaning, empty of substances, no structure, no balance.
3 years spent in hogshead without the slightest trace, 2 years in white wine barrels to offer nothing.
Even in new make, this ...? UFO? Would be without promise.
Here it is, it's done, nothing, nothing at 80 €.
Great art, it had to be done, Akashi, I tasted a bunch.
I won't even call him Akashi.

Traditionally, I don't grade shit, because I don't taste it, and when it does, I stop.
By purchasing Akashi, I expected at least good whisky.
    There, I got screwed.

If it had to be given a subjective rating, it would be a 30, the lowest rating ever offered.
