Start with a beautiful nose that unfortunately does not find its reflection on the tongue. The finish should have been longer, but that is probably due to a certain youthfulness. wlk2103
Looks full and heavy, shows some orange peel, almond butter, grated hazelnut and vanilla. Some furniture polish in the background. Pipe tobacco that has got stuck in an old leather furniture. Clove powder, juniper berries, thyme, rosemary. Over time, blackberries and blueberries come, partly as a fruit, partly as a compote that is still warm. Nougat chocolate, a little caramel, freshly roasted coffee beans.
Strong start with lots of chocolate, toffee, fudge. Sweet from the start, berries push through, as well as black cherries. Blackberries, blueberries, black currants. Slightly oily on the tongue. The fruit sweetness is already a house number ... almond butter, marzipan. Only slightly dry, I would have expected a greater dryness purely from the nose. Maybe still to come. After a while, a certain tartness sets in, resulting from a mix of herbs as well as cloves, pepper and grated nutmeg. As a counterpoint, still sweet berries, now mixed with sugar beet syrup.
Short finish, still only slightly dry. Malty, berry-sweet. Chocolate nougat, caramel pudding, some leather.
