- Strong sherry, very fine, slightly salty
Acid fruit, alcohol but also some caramel.
Clear sherry, dates, raisins but also pepper and alcohol.
Medium-length with pepper and ends dry
- Blind tasting of a sample.
Red apple, plum, caramel, raspberry, vanilla a slight nuttiness. Creamier when adding water.
Red apple, caramel, plum, pepper and a little leather. With water also cranberry and creamy vanilla.
Red apple, cherry, plum, leather, raspberry and caramel.
- Colour: Old gold-amber.
Nose: Intense, rich, on toffee, caramel, chocolate,
orange, honey, with light floral notes.
Taste: Very smooth, rich, complex, on
walnuts, nutmeg, cloves and other spices, leather, tangerine, and some honey.
The finish is long, slightly dry, rich, nutty, spicy, with some heather, honey
General Impression: An excellent whisky, rich, complex, very
sherried, but without being rubbery. I enjoyed it very much.
