Vanilla, sweet butter, slightly floral with light orchard fruits and quite some citrus. Lemon cake, lime, fresh apple, white grapes, tonic water. Light spiciness on nutmeg and dusty slightly burnt wood.
    • Taste
      84 84
A full on mouthfeel, quite spicy and alcoholic, easily takes water. Vanilla, lots of citrus, lemon zest, sweet orange, grapefruit, some sour apple, sweet liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg and bitter wood sap.
    • Finish
      82 82
Medium length: still citrussy with lemon and bitter orange, some sweet liquorice, nutmeg, slight ginger, eventually turning a bit too dry on wood spices.

Very tasty, quite clean and quite unspectacular. A nice sloppy whisky that you still have to give a lot of time, it just needs it.

    Notes from a blind tasting.
    • Nose
This, too, initially looks uninviting in the nose, acid and disinfectant, there is nothing more at first. After a few moments, at least a few yellow fruits will appear. After a long standing time, the yellow fruits, mirabelle plums, apricots, peaches are initially full and clear, plus vanilla and caramel. Movement brings a herbal note with you, the fruits are marinated in schnapps, and there is also some fruit acid. Warmth finally opens the malt, the intensity with the vanilla and fruit acid now pouring out of the glass is enormous! Windfall is now included. Strongly mineral again later.
    • Taste
A fairly clean bourbon malt in the mouth. The alcohol is quite powerful, tingles slightly on the tongue, the mouth feel is a bit thin, vanilla and light honey dominate, a few tannins have also got lost. Fruit notes can only be guessed at.
In a second sip as a cross-check without standing time directly after pouring, the fruit acid is the dominant note and the whole thing no longer looks so clean. The sweetness is there, here more as a dark caramel, but is now lost.
    • Finish
The finish is medium-long and characterized by honey. The bitter notes disappeared much faster. It slightly rewarms the chest cavity. At the end, a fine nuttiness remains on the tongue.

Nice fresh fruity whisky, with quite some power as well. Only finish stays away a little, expected that to last a little longer with this Abv. But overall a pleasant dram.
    • Nose

Fruity, fresh, citrus, lime. Grassy. Also something mineral. A touch menthol. Quite some alcohol but not too hefty. Later on more riper fruits, apples.
    • Taste
      87 87
Pretty powerful to quite intense actually. Fresh and fruity, citrus, tangerine, orange. Also a little bitterness, orange zest. Some sweet notes as well.
    • Finish
      85 85
Still powerful, sweet and fruity, orange. Middle long finish. Tangerines.
