Nice whisky and for it's price a fair buy.
    • Nose
      84 84
Let it stay in the glass some time, needs some time to develop. Then white wine, mint, haystack.
    • Taste
      82 82
Less then the nose to my opinion. Dry and quite flat.
    • Finish
      85 85
That stays for a while, especially high in the mouth and on the sides of the tongue. I like the finish best of this dram.

Cool dry sherry whisky. It reminded me a little of the 16-year-old Bushmills, only his much younger and more recent version. Of the pluses - the strength of 46%, which is sorely lacking in a 16-year old.
    • Nose
Dry, winey, saturated with hints of dried fruits, hay, dusty twigs, mint and milk chocolate.
    • Taste
Dry, spicy, with echoes of raisins, prunes, chocolate, black tea, pepper and a hint of menthol.
    • Finish
Medium duration, also dry and spicy, in general repeating a fairly rich palette of flavoring shades.

      Honey, caramel, cake and vanilla.
    • Taste
      80 80
      Warming mouth.
      Spicy, black pepper.
      Sweet, vanilla, cake.
    • Finish
      75 75
      Long, sweet and spicy.

  4. DistiLesha scored this whisky 75 points Expert Senior

There is some analogy to the Bunnahabhain releases in taste, but overall a rather rough sherry malt with a profile in which the rough character of a low-quality sherry barrel is very strongly felt.

    • Nose
The first wave is sharp alcoholism and grainy tones.
      Peanut butter
Second wave - sweet sherry tones
    • Taste
Sweetness and rough tones of PX rubber, oakiness, scallop astringency.
    • Finish
      Interesting, sweet-oak, sherry, pleasant
