    Color: black tea
Nose: closed whisky, first notes of fortified red wine and burnt wood. Then cherry tincture is added to them. A little later propolis appears, buckwheat honey. A little chocolate. And the depth of the glass is still wood. When inhaling deeply, the nose tingles slightly with alcohol vapors.
Adding water does not change the profile.
Taste: warm, nose extension, also wine, wood, cherry, slightly sweet lemon. The fortress is not felt at all.
Finish: long enough, warm. The wood is felt, but not burnt. As if chewing on a branch. Again wine, there is a little lemon, and a little pepper. And tobacco, a cigarillo, smoked about an hour ago.

Nose is excellent. It's both heavy and light at the same time, which of course makes no sense, but the initial whiff is heavy and then there's a lighter fruity edge at the end. Fresh dark fruits with a cream soda edge. Very nice!

On the palate this one is a winner. It's darker and leans a little more toward the 25/28 side of things as opposed to the 30, so clearly this was a first fill sherry cask. Starts out with some dark fruits, and as it sits it lightens little by little. It's spicier than the nose would lead you to expect, and as it coats the tongue you get quite a bit of that spice washing over. After the 3rd sip the roof of my mouth is numb...

It's got fruits. Fairly dark ones. It morphs into a lighter landing, and there's even a little hint of cinnamon at the end. Not overly sweet, but there's a little sweetness peeking out.

At the end of the day I would put this more in line with a cask strength 25, but without much of the earthiness. It's really good. It's got a decent punch but really isn't overpowering in the alcohol department.

It finishes excellently. The fruits turn into a cherry compote flavor and get sweeter. It's interesting - the finish almost disappears for a minute or two, and then comes back even stronger afterward, with a waxy element.
