Can be seen, although you have to be able to deal with notes of coniferous forest and pine resin.
    • Nose
      83 83
Coniferous forest, very evident pine sap, a blend of herbs. A smoky note underlaid with herbs and smoldering pine needles. After a while, very ripe apricots and bitter orange marmalade appear.
    • Taste
      82 82
Dry, smoky attack, the taste on the tongue no longer tends so much in the direction of coniferous forest. Very fruity with dried apricots, figs and bitter orange marmalade with bits. Slight pine resin notes here and there.
    • Finish
      82 82
Medium long, its dry, hardly any smoky, but now nougat, toffee and finally the return of the herb bag.

Surprisingly smooth and tasty. But I wouldn't call it "Heavily peated", neverthelles, smoky flavor is discernible.

Additional info: This is the first heavily peated Gold Cock whisky. While drying malted barley it was burned three times more peat than usual reaching peat level about 30ppm. Distilled in 2016 as slowly as possible and then left for 4 years to mature in refurbished casks from European winter oak (Quercus petraea) of 270 liters (type of cask commonly used for Cognac). The classic Gold Cock whisky had previously matured in these casks.

Drink with a pleasant price-quality ratio. I'll be happy to buy it a second time
    • Nose
      80 80
Coniferous wood, juniper, plum, leavened dough, lighter peat.
    • Taste
      84 84
Pleasantly very light smoky, compote fruit, spices wood, forest honey and malt.
    • Finish

Tasteful, but it is astringent and slightly bitter, black currant and the smoke is not peat at all.

    Alcohol: 49.2%
Aroma: Wind wood, heavier fruitiness, honey. (85 b)
Taste: Forest honey, darker expression. Wind reverberation and there is a plum flavor. (85 b)
    Points: 85/100
Summary: Welcome shot at WF2021 in Malá Morávka. Warm, sweet, windy, completely relaxed and pleasant whisky, only the "peated" should be taken a little with reserve.

It's a mystery to me, because I haven't drunk Czech whisky before. The mystery is solved and I am pleasantly surprised, although it is a young whisky, it is impressive. Alcohol (49.2%) very well hidden. The taste (for me) has quite clear notes of juniper, and because I like Gin, she raised her note by half a point with this gin. A bit too peppery, which in general lowered my score by 1 point. After adding water, the peppery decreased to a great extent, although traces still remained, it became more sweet, fruity, maybe chocolatey. But the smoke escaped. The finish is also friendlier to the tongue and palate. "Raw" I will rate this whisky at 82 points, after "dilution", I will add an additional 0.5 points for the taste, 1 point for the finish (83.5 points)
Now some extra little pluses ...
A nice bottle and a cork (I have not met such a bottle yet). Plug a wooden spigot, but a glass spigot or a glass spigot.
A small downside ... in the Czech Republic you can buy it for less than 130 PLN and this price is good for such whisky. Unfortunately, the shipping cost of dpd 400 kronor is very high.
    • Nose
      81 81
very delicate, sweet, juniper fruit, red berries, burned stick, cigarette
    • Taste
      83 83
quite peppery, chili, blueberry, slight traces of peat, cigarette smoke again
    • Finish
      82 82
medium long, peppery, bitter and malty (honey)

    • Taste
      84 84
Nice coat of peat. Malty with a touch of sea salt.
    • Finish
      82 82
Medium long finish with well balanced peat.

Decent whisky for a good price. But I expected it to be more smoky because the sweetness of plums and smoke goes into the pile.
    • Nose
      84 84
Sweet, plum jam, plums, light smoked smoke in the background, stale, apricots, propolis, honey.
    • Taste
      81 81
Sweet, young whisky can cut nicely, smoke nowhere.
    • Finish
      82 82
Plum jam, smoked almonds, apricots, a slight hint of smoke.
