I think the nose is a little distant at first, with some chemical notes.
it does develop caramel, a little oil, hint of peat and cardboard but on reflection it is more like a cereal note.
the nose does improve with time in the glass
Not an easy malt, taste wise, a little austere to be honest.
some Ginger spice, and some fizz and there is a pleasant sweetness about it with a little Olive oil.
some caramel does come through mixing with the spice and a mattering of sweet peat.
the finish is ok length wise to start with and leaving a slight metallic taste , quite unusual but there is a big spice kick towards the finish which I like.
