Needs a little drop of water to open up. Not a complex malt and fades away quite quickly. Needs time in glass. The cocoa powder feeling was very strong with this. A slighlty too bitter for my taste all in all.
    • Nose
      77 77
Red apples, dry heavy maltiness, toffee, vanilla and citrus on the nose.
    • Taste
      77 77
On the palate some of those red apples, nuttiness, cocoa powder, slightly bitter.
    • Finish
      76 76
Nothing much happening to be honest. Some dry maltiness and that's about it.

A very standard winery year basic model, refreshing and refreshing, with a bit of malt aroma and a bit of fruity aroma~

Royal Lochnagar 12 years, 40% alc. Original bottling
    Region: Highlands, Scotland

Nose: apple juice, slightly sweet apple juice. After a few minutes it becomes tart, alcohol is added, there is a smell of cider. In addition, light tones of caramel and toffee, malt, summer meadow and vanilla. Somehow charred wood too. Overall, however, very light, somewhat sweet and flowery.

Palate: apples and grassy aromas, with almonds and Brazil nuts. A little honey, vanilla and oats. Completely removes bitter caramel that has been heated for too long. Again, rather light, only a little oak.

Finish: Medium length, drier than the palate. They are stronger than before, and the malt sugar comes out stronger.

Conclusion: To chew away, simple and beautiful, definitely underrated.

Smell: The color of late autumn always attracts people who want to get closer. After the alcohol mist is dissipated, the main theme is filed out. The strong aroma of red dates and brown sugar cakes seems to reflect the ripe fruits in October, rich and moist. , There are some dark fungi hidden behind the main melody, and the dry taste conveys a lot of hints of dry grass and dead leaves, deep and charming

Drinking: The wine body shows a full and strong body, like the taste of freshly squeezed juice, falling down all the time. After swallowing, it feels a little spicy, then slowly releases the bitterness, tightens, bitterness, and then tightens...

Feeling: She ranks in the top ten in the entire Scottish production, which is the bottom. The small wooden fermentation tank in the winery spiritually breeds each batch of wine juice, paired with a pair of traditional small stills of about 5,000 liters, Lynn Arm Slightly inclined downwards, connected to the worm barrel condensation device. It is reasonable that its wine body style should be extremely strong and complicated, but its winemakers have used some special methods to try to make the novices appear a lot of question marks. ① Open the lid of the still for a long time to ventilate ②Keep the worm barrel condensing device at a low temperature for 7X24 hours. The purpose of these two operations is to increase the efficiency of copper dialogue, thereby reducing the presence of sulfur, but in my impression album, she is still a A fat girl with a complicated personality that is unpredictable, looking forward to her old age.

ps: This is an old note

It's 'only' 84 points because it's not very complex. But it's very well done and just delicious. So these are very sexy 84 points :D

Green apple. Sweet maple sirup. Nice and easy!
    • Taste
      84 84
First it's mild, after some seconds pepper appears. Cocoa.
Then a little wooden bitterness comes in.
    • Finish
      84 84
Bittersweet notes of cocoa. pepper. The bitterness becomes wooden and stays for quite a while - not extremely long, but for this price it's great.
