I am really pleasantly surprised today. Didn't even want to turn to him after the colleague was so "nice" the first time. It's good that I did it. Was just the right whisky today. 8cl pegged away.
He needs a lot of air. For 18 years he still hasn't got enough on his chest.
    • Nose
Very light white wine with a slight green tint

Starts again today with unripe, sour green grapes. Behind it is a musty sweetness. The dried paprika chips come into their own again today.
Lime, or rather a kind of citrus cleaner.
With a little time in the glass, the colleague calms down a little. Now goes more in the direction of wine cream with dry vanilla pudding powder on it. Orange peel and pomelo.
There is another smell in the background that is reminiscent of a few blueberries swimming in champagne.
    • Taste
Fresh, lively start. It'll be around the corner similar to champagne. Again the dry vanilla powder. This metallic undertone is also there again. As if licking wet steel fits into the picture again today. I think it's a lot better today than the first time. The air in the sample was probably doing very well. Some bitter almond and hints of men's chocolate. Pear brandy in a crazy combination with cotton candy. A dry white wine note rounds off at the end.
    • Finish
Medium to long. Initially dry fruity with bitter almond and metallic. Then a creamy, slightly spicy sweetness rolls up the field from behind and pastes your mouth.

    • Nose
Bunch of grapes, overlaid with lightly smoked bacon chips. Menthol / mint and quite a bit of pressure on the kettle, grapes and slightly aggressive, alcoholic peaks, medical and echoes of a young but mild Laphroaig, camphor, methanol, who Bockt !, fresh, minty, grapes, a little buttery, sweetish fresh dough, buttery / Butterscotch / fudge, it has a bit of acidity, Walkers, white wine, buttery, vanilla sugar - legga in the nose, when it stands longer, acid seems to come in, a little mineral in the background,
    • Taste
sweet, fruity but then directly the alcohol that washes away everything else, sweet, plastic, peppery, it is really biting, but now tastes like pear anyway, with water, and plenty of it, it becomes a little more balanced. But remains out of round. If necessary, more water, soapy, first a little vanilla, then tangy, then woody, dry, a little metallic. Like licking wet steel, it's sugar-sweet in taste and has an annoying plastic note (for me), plus plenty of pepper in the finish, 18 years old ... don't notice, very out of round, age doesn't matter, tastes young and wild , but I still find it so ok, it's a shame that after 18y that's left over
    • Finish
      Medium length.
