- A wonderful, nice creamy texture combined with soft, elegant oak and fruits -- bananas, peach, pear. Bought a bottle based on recommendation from a buddy and don't regret that one bit.
- A wonderful and dignified grain which delights with its sweet nose and muted fruit and wood aromas in the taste! Old and full of character, multi-layered and complex, just a dream!
Old straw shimmers brightly in the Premium Snifter, long and oily "legs" have formed on the glass wall while beguiling grain sweetness rises from afar. Dried apricots play with creamy caramel and dried vanilla pods, velvety vineyard peaches and overripe apples end sweetly on the nose, old and dry wood tones come into their own. Hints of milk chocolate and malt, sugar and other yellow fruits immediately stimulate the flow of saliva. After a while, fermented fruits appear with a slightly musty and rotten wood note ...
During the first sip, sweetness flashes on the palate, apricots and peaches exude their fruity aroma while a minimal pinch of salt and pepper dissolves from spicy wood tones. The second sip flows thin and creamy at the same time over the tongue. Yellow dried fruits play with each other, lightly burnt sugar stimulates the saliva, a touch of spiciness tickles the tip of the tongue, spicy wood tones play with sweet and fruity notes, in the background there is a barely perceptible smoke note. Creamy hazelnuts swim in the stimulated saliva, old wood tones beguile the senses with muted fruit notes.
Creamy and spicy, slightly tart wood tones and dried fruit aromas stick to the palate, the mouthfeel becomes more and more oily and creamy over time. Unfortunately, the old and dignified finish fades relatively quickly ...
- beautiful old grain whiskey with an expressive nose and complex palate impression.
