Rogia is a very tasty one year old: the merlot is already in the nose. In the aftertaste are plums and cherries.

its weird how people who have a closed bottle of this very limited spirit rate it 90points ........
i got a sample of this through a tasting rocktailz is hosting i didn't expect much of it because it's a 1year old spirit
    lets see if i'm wrong

i'm not wrong but also not right it's a great whisky with a lot of potential at 64% and only one year old i really have to tip my hat to you there is no alcohol burn its a very smooth whisky and also no chemical off notes to be found job well done Thibaut
    • Nose
there is not a lot of complexity and flavour to be found on the nose but on the other hand even at 64% abv there is no alcohol burn or chemical notes to be found either

it starts of with red currant's and blood oranges , there is also some rhubarb and a hint of cherries

i added a drop of water to see if it opens up now there is a lot of orange peel and white pepper
    • Taste
also not a lot of flavour but again no alcohol burn and chemical notes to be found

again blood orange and red currants followed by white pepper and a hint of brown sugar
    • Finish
dry medium long finish there is white pepper and blood orange followed by red currants there is also a bitter note i think this is because of the high tannins
extraction from such a small 25liter cask
