Yes, friends, this is the good stuff whisky dreams are made of.
Sherry SATT, extremely luscious, liquid dessert, raisin-oily-caramel-chocolate-like and what is this drop long.
With water it really comes up again if you don't overdo it, but in CS it is and remains just perfect.
Not cheap, but not cheap either!
Last year I tried so much worse things from the promised land for so much more money that I can hardly take anyone seriously who says that everything is too expensive here.
Whisky has become too expensive in general, I don't want to gloss over that, but the market is the market is the market and if I get too stupid, I get out instead of nagging.
But at least you get something on offer here:
Original bottling Distillery Exclusive Single Cask Cask Strength in a very small edition. To compare that with something independently bottled, which comes along in the standard bottle, is simply unclean.
An OA 18 Macallan Sherry Oak, which IS too expensive, a Glengoyne Sherry Single Cask is on par, but also more expensive. Please don't come with old brands, etc. Yes, the brands are old, but especially in the M case, they benefit from the legendary reputation of old bottlings.
This brand at least has a future and not just a past.
This is seriously great quality, for a price of just under 3 EUR the dram, heart, what more could you want.
