The 46% are well chosen, even if it might be a little more in the mouth. If you had heard 2, 3 percent more of the whisky here, the whisky would have been a bit better.
The price is quite ambitious considering the age, but overall appropriate for a hogshead and the good barrel selection. The days of inexpensive UAs are unfortunately over.
Multivitamin juice, pineapple, papaya, honey, apricot, orange zest, fig, light rice notes. A wonderful date sweetness with Clynelish-typical beeswax notes hovers over all of this. On the spice side I find curry and a little cardamon
Orange, pineapple, malt, apple and light acidity. The multivitamin juice is quite pronounced.
The finish is medium to long and voluminous. For a really good finish, you need a big sip.
