20ml consumed at home, Aug 2021.
Pale golden yellow. Average for an uncoloured whisky as a wide category, but it has a very light colour for a bourbon.
Aroma is apple and banana, spirit, slight bubblegum, clearly very young - as you'd expect given the price I paid. There is some light charred wood and vanilla too. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the nose really. There are plenty of whiskies that have a more muted or less interesting aroma.
Taste is light, spirit-led, ‘hard’ and crisp considering the low ABV, like corny vodka, the long spicy linger suggests at least some rye content. I can actually taste the water in this - it has the minerally flat taste of water. This is an ok spirit but a below average showing of whisky. The nose is better than the taste. It's absolutely not bad or unpleasant at all. It would be okay for mixing with coke but not appropriate for an Old Fashioned. 3.1/74
