An interesting creation by Polish Wild Fields. This is a whisky made from 100% malted wheat, aged just as the barley edition for 3 years in Polish oak barrels. The youth of the whisky makes it rather plain, compared to the barley edition that was surprisingly complex for it's age.

Nice earthy and pungent nose. A lot of oak. Dried apricots. Dill, parsley and a hint of smoke in the background. A hint of ethanol.

The taste is very oaky, even more so than the nose. There's a saltiness lingering in the background. This is another oakiness than the barley edition, there's no trace of the green apples, instead there's some bitterness coming through. The apricots reappear with some water added and so does a hint of breadcrumbs.

Short finish, bitter oak. The finish is much better with some water.
