    Von der Website der Brennerei:

There’s plenty we would like to share with you about each whiskey. In fact, rather too much for a bottling label – that strange, tiny surface that has been regulated to death.

Which is why drinkers will be able to access a new feature on the website, currently in beta version with more refinements to come.

Every bottle of Waterford whiskey features its own pioneering TÉIREOIR code, which once entered online will reveal a host of unprecedented and engaging content related to the release.

Using rich photography, and drawing upon our unrivalled digital logistics systems that collects thousands of data points, you will be able to explore maps of the place, the harvest, the grower, distillation details as well as view the full spectrum of wood.

Built upon on our own bespoke software that brings together five data systems from farm to bottle, it has been a remarkable project to collate the data for each release: so watch this space.

    creamy, fine, vanilla
fudge candy, the aroma of vanilla that stands out, fresh fruit on the apple and juicy pear
intense, creamy, fresh fruit in a slightly cooked tub, especially pear, a little caramel, vanilla, bitterness then appears, spoiling a little, peppery spices and dried fresh herbs
the malty, vanilla, creamy sweetness overtaken by the almond, a sign of youth.
malt, spices, caramel, herbs, and barley which stands out for a finish that is quite long given its young age.

It’s almost like a Scottish lowlander, ha! A beautiful whiskey that feels older than 3 years, I would almost believe it’s 7, maybe even 8 years old. It’s fresh and vibrant with lovely grassy tones. Definitely the favourite out of the three for me.
    • Nose
Caramel fudge. Fresh pears and red grapes. Vanilla. Then lemons. Freshly cut grass. And it has hints of limestone. Oats. It’s even a little earthy. This is followed by green apple peels and a floral note in the background.
    • Taste
Caramel fudge and milk chocolate. Lemons. Then minerals. Vanilla, followed by green grapes. Grassy as in fresh grass mixed with hay. White pepper too.
    • Finish
      Mid-long. Minerals. White pepper. Caramel.
