A fairly classic HP after all: mineral, coastal (salty at will), waxy, without forgetting a few touches of citrus fruits
    • Taste
      88 88
Quite clean, oily and totally in the markers of the distillery: first the salty notes, a hint of menthol and slightly spicy spices (green pepper - it reminds me of fresh green sichuan pepper - and cinnamon) then. And, a waxy side that could lose us in the limbo of Brora or Clynelish
    • Finish
      87 87
No new surprise: the markers do not change. The finish is persistent

Immediately fruit by the shovel. Peach, pear, apricot, very ripe apple. Then it moves towards a bit of exoticism, grapefruit, pineapple, banana. Behind, light peat, an ounce of iodine and heather, the markers of the distillery. The iodine rises little by little, and we have a very nice balance. Pinch of icing sugar. Papaya, kumquat. Traces of limestone. On the palate, it is smooth, unctuous, chestnut cream, quince jelly, some spices, paprika, turmeric, saffron. Lemon zest. Sandalwood. Lemon envelops the mouth on the finish, then it's thick charcoal, almond and a touch of bitterness. The peat comes back at the end. Very long, this final. Gooseberry seeds.
