"There's no denying the youthfulness but it's still a remarkable flavour profile, quite unlike any other peated malt you’ll find today. This is full of intense citrus juices, sharp, bass-like peat smoke, dusty malt bins, fermenting hay, lemon oils and verbena. A touch of H2O and there's a pleasing bourbon-esque sweetness at the fore. Along with soot mixed with lemon washing powders, bath salts, kilned lemon bonbons and iodine-laced toffee. Add to that a few spoonsful of camphor, dried thyme and smoked beers. The palate is definitely one for peat freaks! Wonderfully sweet with thready notes of kiln smoke, chalk, burnt heather, limestone, bouquet garni, tar and trampled ferns. With reduction there's peat smoke in syrup form, lemons roasted on BBQ coals, caraway sweets, bitter lime, dried ginger and a hint of vermouth. "
