Bowmore's flagship, the 18 ... I was hoping for more. Overall, I found him very reluctant. The smell was one-dimensional and unfortunately it had a very quick finish.
    • Nose
Light smoke. Not clinical, rather greasy. In addition sweetness of the sherry casks. Both are well balanced, but also fly away quickly. A light breeze of fresh air from the sea.
    • Taste
Again, the slight greasiness. Salt. Fruit. In itself a great combination. But everything is very subtle. Not deep & complex as advertised. Rather elegant & reserved
    • Finish
Sweet smoke remains in the mouth. The finish is very short. I wonder how the whisky would benefit from 5-10% more alcohol!
