- A pretty good Whisky for the price!
Because I used to smoke, the smell of fresh tobacco was linked immediately. A very subtle peat hint is in there. I also think I noticed some raisins and cinnamon, but I'm not 100% sure of that.
Tastewise this was a lot to handle. It started really peppery and spicy (cinnamon again?), combined with a strange sweetness. In the taste, there is also the peat in the background to accompany the rest of the flavors.
Yeah, a fun Whisky finish-wise. It lingers in the throat for quite a while, to be honest. Cinnamon again, but this time with some wood.
- Good whisky, but far from 10 year old levels
Sweet and vinous, raisins, tobacco, very delicate peat, an imperceptible suggestion of anise. With water it becomes sweeter and creamier, almond, sugared almond, peat almost vanishes. Zero alcohol
Spicy, tannic, dense, sweet but also marine, bitter cocoa, a light touch of smoke. With water the peat is dampened and the herbaceous and spicy component increases
Medium and sweet, light smoke, a touch of mint
