Tomatin 15 years, 59.2% alc.
Region: Highlands, Scotland
Nose: How from another time - and should be only 15 years young? Very complex with lots of fruit: apple, pear, annans, apricot and sometimes a little peach comes up. After a while, the nose changes and becomes drier: dried banana, orange peel, raisins and some wax. With vanilla and very mild cocoa.
Palate: Aggressive and rich in content, different from the nose and yet suitable. Dry and very spicy, very light and very dry. Then wheat toast with a slightly bitter orange marmalade, with cappuccino. The banana will come again. Heavily complex and complex.
Finish: Long and warming and somewhat simpler than the palate, but with a little more spice and a nice pepper note.
Conclusion: That's shit and you definitely do not want to try it. So if you still have a closed bottle in the basement - I have mercy on me and like to buy it ;-) Fun aside, does it take the Notes nor a conclusion? Definitely a great whisky!
