Well worth taking a punt for that kind of money and I will tell you what I have paid a lot,lot more for a lot, lot worse.
Looking at the colour of this whisky it is obviously a mixture of sherry cask but it doesn't say so on the bottle, just oak casks.
Lots of strong flavours such as chocolate, black coffee and summer pudding bread.
Plus the sherry really does come through and I would call it a bomb for sure.
Rich and Spicy is what it says on the bottle and I'm not going to argue with that.
I think there is a mixture here of old and new but probably more of the new.
The 46% is another bonus and no water needed.
The bomb explodes on the tongue but it's a bomb of peace.
It's just lacking something in the mix but I can't put my finger on it.
A medium finish and it's the spice that lingers the most.
There is a very slight bitter end which some might not like but i do.
